SSSS College of Commerce for Women organised a Three-Day Voter Registration Camp on August 20, August 26, and September 2, 2026, with the objective of creating awareness among students about voter registration, the importance of voting, and responsible participation in the democratic process.
Day 1 – August 20, 2026
The first day was organised for students of all Final year classes and M.Com classes, with 31 students participating.Mr. Rajinder Kumar, BLO (Booth Level Officer), guided the students about the importance of voter registration and the procedure for filling Form 6. The students were assisted in completing and submitting their registration forms, and six students successfully registered for voter cards.
Day 2 – August 26, 2026
The second day was organised for Second-Year students, with 39 students participating.Mr. Raj Kumar, Nodal Officer (SVEEP), sensitised the students about the significance of voting and guided them through the voter registration process. Twenty-nine students successfully registered as voters during the camp.
Day 3 – September 2, 2026
The third day witnessed the participation of 60 students.Mr. Raj Kumar, Nodal Officer (SVEEP), sensitised the students about the importance of voting and encouraged them to make informed, practical, and responsible choices while exercising their right to vote.
The three-day camp witnessed a total participation of 130 students.Principal Ms. Harpreet Kaur Uppal motivated the students to exercise their right to vote responsibly and emphasised the importance of using their vote wisely to strengthen democracy. The Campus Ambassador, Ms. Vanshika Khosla, along with her team, actively participated in the camp and supported the smooth conduct of the registration process. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Kawaljit Kaur, Assistant Professor, and Ms. Muskan Mahajan, Assistant Professor, whose efforts contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the three-day camp.
